FURNITURE

Link introduced its first teak furniture collection in 2011 in partnership with designer Douglas Levine. Soon after, Link began developing furniture with new materials including powder-coated aluminum, polished stainless steel, marble, glass and cast concrete. Design Director Marc Kurlander works in tandem with renowned designers to produce what has now become ten core collections of luxury furniture. Each new collection promises luxury, unparalleled comfort, fine craftsmanship and exceptional design.

MATERIALS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP

Within a decade, Link has become a leading name elevating outdoor product through attention to important details such as highest quality materials, impeccable production by skilled artisans and thoughtfully proportioned pieces. The Link design studio prides itself on curating products that incorporate every manufacturer, craftsman and designer as a part of the process rather than focusing on mass production.

Link’s most successful furniture collections Banyan, Bombay and Malibu are constructed in teak, a deciduous hardwood that is renowned for its elegance and durability, as well as long life under severe climactic conditions. This wood is extremely dense and rich in natural oils, making it almost impervious to sun, rain, snow, and frost as well as insects. Link’s teak furniture is available in natural, oiled and weathered teak finishes.

Powder coated aluminum finished products provide an ultra-strong, weather resistant covering that will protect metal from all the elements. Finish colors include four options; Antique Bronze, Bone White, Bronze Patina, and Gunmetal.

Marble is a natural material and pieces composed of marble will have unique markings and color variations, making every piece one of a kind. Marble options include Cosmic Black and Indian Satvario.

Link’s cast concrete furniture is made from glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC). GFRC furniture is made by hand with a unique artisanal process that emphasizes the value of quality and craftsmanship. Each piece is made from an engineered concrete mix that is applied by hand to molds. Markings and color may vary from piece to piece, as each item is made by hand. Cast concrete options include Midnight and Snow.

Glass options are available for specific drink, ring and side tables. Glass tops options include Backpainted White, Clear, Smoked Bronze, Smoked Grey, and Starfire.

FABRIC

In 2010, Link partnered with designers Doug & Gene Meyer and fabric manufacturer Sunbrella to introduce its first outdoor fabric and trim collection. Doug & Gene designed a collection of bright, bold, large scale patterns and stripes that became an instant hit within the design community, many of which can be found in both homes and luxury resorts around the world. All of the fabrics and trimmings in the collection were woven with 100% Sunbrella solution-dyed acrylic making them fade resistant, stain proof and easy to clean. Doug & Gene’s work continues to be the vibrant, saturated foundation for which Link outdoor fabrics is known.

The collection has since evolved to become a source of luxury performance fabric, as new finishes, specialty yarns and heathered tones are developed to replace natural fibers such as wool and silk with equally as appealing aesthetic characteristics and the benefit of being easy to care for. Link’s signature bold color palette was infused with a range of textured solids in sophisticated neutrals that can be used for upholstery as well as window treatments. Link now has more than 800 fabric selections and continues to focus on creating a balance of these two categories to meet any design inspiration need, while keeping a fresh, clean color palette and high-quality weaves.

PERFORMANCE BY DESIGN

Link textiles are woven from solution dyed acrylic yarns, engineered to be inherently fade resistant and stain resistant. Unlike natural piece or yarn dyed fabrics, solution dyed acrylic is spun from synthetic fibers in large quantities that is then twisted together in unique combinations to make novelty yarns that hold their color from the inside out. This means no amount of sunlight, rain or coffee spills can damage the fabric.

Link partners with leaders in the industry such as Sunbrella to ensure that the fabrics are woven from yarns engineered to perform in the desert heat as well as saturated rain-forest climates without concern over mildew or fading. The design studio also works artisan weavers who carry the know-how and old-world manufacturing process to bring the unique sheer qualities and vibrant designs to life. Every fabric is ordered to spec, including the specialty finishes that offer the soft hand to dense weaves. Inventory is held in our Dallas warehouse and available for immediate delivery.
